Court Sentence 22 Year Old Man For 25 years Imprisonment

By T. Lula Jaurey IPNews-Monrovia,Liberia-31 August 2018: A twenty-two (22) year old man, identified as Darius Wilson has been sentenced for twenty-five ((25) years imprisonment for the ‘crime murder’. The presiding judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of criminal Court “A”, Roosevelt Z. Willie pronounced that defendant Wilson be sentence for 25 years imprisonment following open confession in court and pleading for mercy for the crime of murder. According to the indictment by the grand jury, Darius Wilson was indicted for the crime murder on June 4, 2018. Although, the indictment stated in, count 1, 2 and 3, on May 4, 2018, that  the defendant purposely, knowingly, intentionally, willfully and maliciously attacked the late patrolman Moses Bedell, on ‘lover’s street,  in the New LBS Community, Paynesville with a rock resulting into his untimely death. Subsequently, defendant Wilson was requested to take the stand and testify on his own behalf but the defense counsel notified the court that their have waved all rights to testify and pleaded with the court to exercise justice with mercy. While it remains clear that defendant Wilson admittance to  the commission of the crime of murder and pleaded for justice with mercy and subsequent judgment handed down by the presiding judge Willie, its of the thinking of many legal minds covering the trail that, indeed, the court should exercise justice with Mercy.
