IPNews-Monrovia,Liberia-31 August 2018: Authorities at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry has dismissed report that a certain rice named and styled ‘United Grain with ID NSL/RS/792’ brought into the country by UCI is not rubber as has been speculated.
A laboratory report issued by the National Standard Board of Liberia on Monday August 27, 2018 said a conformity assessment test conducted indicates that the sample submitted is identical, organic and has the property of rice and that the sample is not a plastic rice.
The Ministry finding added that the rice is safe for public consumption.
It may be recalled, recently a purported video was circulated by some unidentified persons claiming that the rice allegedly imported into the country by ‘UCI’ and warns people not to buy.
Now, with the facts now provided by the government through the Ministry of Commerce , now puts the selfish video makers to shame.
