IPNews-Monrovia,Liberia-21 August 2018: The National Chairman and political leader of the Liberian National Union-LINU, Nathaniel Blama has termed recent outburst by Liberty Party’s vice national chairman for inter-party Affairs, Darius Dillon, terming just ended meeting by President George Weah with political parties a flop as nothing worth listening to as he is just a ‘belle-driven politician seeking political relevance at the expense of the general good of the country.

Blama stated that it was laudable to hear Darius Dillon speak of a walked out at the just ended political dialogue held with President George Weah, and other political parties solely because the meeting was not guarded by an ‘agenda’.

Contrary to assertions by both the leaders of the opposition Liberty Party and the defunct ruling party UP and Dillon that there was ‘no agenda’, at the meeting to propel the discussion,  this paper has obtained a copy of the agenda which clearly outlined discussion points in sequential order for deliberation, for which the Liberty Party and the Unity Party took the lead during the discussion.

Blama who currently serves as Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency-EPA, said  that it was time some Liberians move away from playing blind politics with the country and focus on collectively working to enhance the developmental agenda of the country.

“ It is shameful to hear Dillon say there was no agenda for the meeting. The Liberty Party like other political parties was duly informed about the political dialogue but choose not present tangible issues tending to shape the path of Liberia at the meeting.”Blama explained.

Nat Blama further rejected claims by Dillon that he and other political parties’ leaders attending the meeting were in attendance to protect jobs or seek jobs.

“ Look, it is time people like Darius Dillon and likes desist from trying to play politics for selfish gains rather than addressing key issues that effects the general good of the Liberia people.” Blama blasted.

The LINU political leader comments come in the wake of Dillon’s comments on a local radio station last week making assertions that Nathaniel Blama and others presence at the one day political party dialogue was to justify salary.

Blama argued that he needs no further attention from the president by attending the meeting but rather his professionalism has shown and continued to show his relevance which needs to be emanated by Dillon and likes rather than, engaging in ‘political blackmail.’

“I like to caution Darius Dillon and likes that the time for ‘political blackmail’, is over and there is a renewed vigor by young Liberians to replenish the many years lost by our fathers for the last thirty six years.” The LINU political leader said.

The discovery of the ‘meeting agenda’, now leaves many political thinkers with serious confusion as to the intend of some political parties mainly the Liberty Party and Unity Party alleging that there was no agenda for the meeting rather than an extemporaneous platform.
