Rep. Smith Earmarks US$12,OOO for Road Rehabilitation in District Two

IPNews-Monrovia, Liberia-29 March 2018: Montserrado County district two lawmaker in the House of Representatives has earmarked US$12,000.00 for rehabilitation of the roads in his district.

Making the disclosure to his people recently in a meeting held in Johnsonville, Representative Jimmy Smith revealed that his office is putting mechanism into place to rehabilitate roads leading from Mount Barclay to Dry Rice Market in the Johnsonville Township in order to provide the people easy access before the rain starts.

Considering that for too long the people have been suffering bad road condition during the raining season, Representative Smith said the project is part of his campaign promise to his people on better condition of living.

According to him, under his leadership as the district representative much will be done in the area of development.

He said it is time for the district to be up to standard as compared to other districts in the country, adding that with his development skills the district is going to be opened to several opportunities which he believes is in fulfillment of his campaign message during the election.

The lawmaker continues to say that the road project will start by the end of March as the money is already in the district development`s account.

The lawmaker used the occasion to call on all citizens of the district to work together for the growth and development of the area, stressing that he alone will not do all without the help of the people.

In another development, the lawmaker is also constructing a multipurpose market in the district to improve the living standard of his people.
