— As Civil Lawsuit Goes Into Effect Soon
IPNEWS: Following Monday’s unprovoked attack on students of the J.J. Roberts Memorial School, the authoritative Independent Probe Newspaper, has established that the violence erupted due to ‘vicious hatred and mistaken identity’.
An investigation conducted by IPNEWS in the aftermath of Monday’s violence scene when students, faculty, and staff were attacked by students of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) run Tubman High School, precipitated series of mini-sports tournaments held at the Tubman High School Gymnasium.
However, IPNEWS investigation reveals that a fellow identified as ‘Quality’, AKA Bull Dog, rented from authorities of Tubman High School in continuation of his weekly inter-school mini-sports tournament held usually at the Tubman High School gymnasium on Friday, April 5, 2024.
IPNEWS understand that the mini-sport tournament apparently took a different trend when the games and dances begin exciting amidst loud noises prompting the President of the Student Council government of Tubman High School, identified as Abrahma C. J. King, seeking the organizers to tone down the musical set due to ongoing exams by senior students of the school which was complied with by the organizers.
While the Mr. King and Organizers were discussing the matter even though Tubman High School’s administration had already accepted rental fees from the organizers without informing them about ongoing exams by the senior students, IPNEWS investigation established that another group of Tubman High School Students emerging from the A. Grant Junior and Elementary school location began puling plugs off the organizers musical set sparking the violence in which the president of Tubman High School Student was slapped causing the violence to intensified.
The violent Tubman High School student’s chase the organizers and students from participating schools, including Leng Miller Salvation Army School, Carey Baptist, Levi C. Williams, J.J. Roberts School, among others out of the Tubman High School fence onto the min-road of 12 street.
The pursuing Tubman High School students then besieged the premises of J.J. Roberts chanting war-day slogans with stones and other sharp objects for at least three hours before the intervention of the Liberian National Police.
At the J.J. Robert school campus, IPNEWS video photoaged show students running amok in safety of their lives as pursuing Tubman High School Students forced their way into the fence of the school.
Several students were captured taken off their uniforms to avoid reprisal by the violent pursuing Tubman High School students.
Fears and confusion were written on the faces of the faculty and staff who battled the volent Tubman High School students from entry into the school premises.
At the scene, several officers of the Liberia National Police sustained injuries from on unwavering violent students.
IPNEWS investigation further reveals that ‘Quality, AKA Bull Dog’, had rented the facility for a protracted period for holding of weekly mini-sports tournaments.
It may be recalled, similar occurrences was manifested in 1986 when students of the MCSS stormed private school in protest of lack of salary payments for their teachers, unconducive learning environment at public schools, lack of school buses for students, and demand for the resignation of Education and the Superintended of MCC.
Meanwhile, several parents of the J.J. Robert Memorial school are deciding to file a civil lawsuit against the Ministry of Education, MCSS and the administration of the Tubman High School for the mental and physical harms inflicted on students of the J.J. Roberts Memorial school.
Many of the parents narrated horrible stories of trauma caused by the Monday’s violent unprovoked attack against students, the administration of the J.J. Roberts Memorial School.
Members of the PTA are calling of an impartial investigation into the incident and the restitution of materials destroyed at the school’s premises. Investigation continues….
