President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of the Republic of South Korea on the occasion marking the 78th anniversary of that country.
In his message to his Korean counterpart, H.E. Yoon Suk-Yeol, President Weah, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of South Korea as they observe this historic milestone.
A Foreign Ministry release says the Liberian leader further stressed that as the people of South Korea observe this joyous occasion, Liberia looks forward to further strengthening the excellent bilateral ties subsisting between the two countries and peoples.
President George Manneh Weah then prayed that the Grand Architect of the universe will continue to endow President Yoon with His manifold blessings as he leads his people to nobler height.
Meanwhile, President Weah has sent a condolence message to President Alassane Ouattara, President of Côte D’Ivoire following the death of former President Henri Konan Bedie of Côte D’Ivoire. He died on August 1, 2023 at the age of 89.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President George Manneh Weah, On behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in his own name, extended heartfelt condolences to his Ivorian counterpat, Mr. Ouattara, and in particular, the bereaved family for the irreparable loss sustained.
The Liberian Leader then prayed and hoped that the Almighty God will grant His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Cote D’Ivoire, and the resilient people of Côte D’Ivoire comfort and fortitude during this difficult period of national mourning.
