IPNEWS: Disenchantment and tension are said to be growing at the camp of the Grand Gedeh County football team.
According to the report, members of the team are now held up at a local hotel threatening to break down and shut down the hotel.
An IPNEWS reporter on the scene saw members of the men’s team setting up roadblocks and issuance of threats to visit the homes of county Caucus members.
In a dispatch, Gtand Kia Farley told IPNEWS that members of the Grand Gedeh County caucus have out rightly refused to approve payment for Hotel and recommendation, including transportation for both the men’s, Kickball, and volleyball teams.
Farley stated that he has tried on numerous occasions to get members of the caucus to make payments but to no avail.
He married that the Ministry of Youth & Sports initially make available 7,000.00 United States dollars which were utilized on the operational cost of all the teams.
The players are in demand of three outstanding game payments.
The Grand Gedeh county team was eliminated from the group stage by Grand Cape Mount County for fueling players with doubles and foreign players in contract to the LFA standing rules.
Currently the team’s that qualified for the group stage are:
Rivercess, Grand Bassa, Lofa, Maryland, Margibi, Montserrado, Nimba, and Bong counties.
