Over Arrest of Mike Jabateh, Angry Mandingo Youths Threaten Unprecedented Actions Today

IPNEWS: Amid the arrest of Mike Jabateh, by the Liberian National Police for the terroristic threats and rioting, angry youths from Muslim faith, particularly the Mandingo community, have threatened unprecedented actions if the government do not release their tribal man Mike Jabateh.

It may be recalled following violent riot last week in Nimba County, Mike Jab at eh stated that if ‘one Mandingo man is kill, he will kill chief justice of Liberia, Francis Korkpor’.

Speaking today, Monday April, 26, 2021 in Monrovia, Police Spokesperson, Moses Carter, told Reporters that Mike Jabateh was invited for making inflammatory statements following an eviction exercise carried out in Ganta City, Nimba country a week ago.

Carter added that the police intention to invite Jabateh over his alleged threat against the Chief Justice, to which Police seeks to authenticate and established the alleged comments against the Chief Justice.

Carter however assures the public that even though police are yet to arrest any suspect, yet culprits involved will be brought to justice to face the full weigh of law.

It can be recalled, Mike Jabateh was spotted threatening the chief justice of Liberia to take away his life in defense of his Mandingo tribe during the recent land violence in Ganta City Nimba county after the magistrate court of the County issued eviction order over the dispute land in Ganta.

During his Podcast messages sent to Chief Justice Korkpor, Mike accused His Honor, Korkpo of unlawful taking the Land belonging to his kinsmen and handed it over to Fred Suah.

Meanwhile the police spokesman has confirmed that Mike will spend 48 in the police jail custody for further investigation, and have requested Lawyers representing Mike Jabateh to produce the appreciate criminal appearance bond.

Additionally, the angry Muslim youths following the statement released by the LNP, threaten late Monday, to turnout on Tuesday in the numbers to continued the protest for their tribe man Mike Jabateh
