Breaking News: Rep. Edwin Snowe Resign from Unity Party Amidst Controversial Primary

IPNews-Monrovia: Bomi county Representative, Edwin Melvin Snowe has allegedly resigned from the former ruling Unity party (UP).

According to our source very closed to Rep. Snowe, the popular Bomi County Legislator resigned from the UP due to the party refusal to pick former Bomi county senator, Lahhai Lansanna over current senator Sando Johnson, who according to party sources recently crossover to the Collaborating Political Party-CPP,with the All Liberian Party of former Maritime Commissioner Ben Urey.

Sources hinted IPNews that Snowe contested the decision from members of the CPP without his in out as an executive members of the Unity Party.

IPNews firther gathered Representative Snows pick for the County’s senator was former Senator Lahia Lasanna over  Senator Johnson who was still a member of the Coalition of Democratic Change-CDC until last minute crossover to Collaborating political party (CPP).

According to our source, it was earlier agreed by the executive committee of the UP to carry former senator Lansanna in the impending December 8 mid-term elections but said decision was changed in the last minutes following the crossing over of Senator Johnson to the CPP.

It may be recalled, Representative Snowe during a interview on Truth FM nearly three weeks ago spoke highly about former Senator Lahai Lassanna support to Many ongoing  projects in Bomi county. Detail on this comes in our subsequent publication.
