IPNews-Monrovia: Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor has termed as a wicked and a diabolical lie recent accusation linking her to the Council of Patriot statement of organizing the December 30^th  ‘Weah step down’ campaign.

In recent days some alleged government (CDC), supported media institutions have over the last days accused the Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor, of supporting the organizers of the ‘Weah step-down’ protest allegedly intended to unseat the government of president George Manneh Weah,  to installed her as president.

Addressing a news conference yesterday, Thursday, September 26,2019, at her Capitol building office, Vice President Taylor explained that she has ‘no reason to undermine her own government’.

VP Taylor described those spreading the rumors as people with the sole intend to bringing confusion within the governing CDC.

She has however called for a dialogues between the government of Liberia and the leadership of COP to understand their concern in the interest of the state and its people.

At the same time, The Vice President is calling on members of the Legislature to support the proposition for more female Representation in government.

She said the low number of female lawmakers was unacceptable and it was time for the country to act by allowing 15 percent female representation in the Legislature.
