Grand Bassa Citizens Express Disappointment Slow Pace Investigation over Mysterious Deaths

IPNews-Monrovia: Citizens of Grand Bassa Country, through their electoral District # 4 representative Vicent S.T. Willie has expressed disappointment over the slow pace of investigation by the Ministry of Justice over the mysterious deaths of two persons recently in Grand Bassa County.
According to the Grand Bassa County lawmaker Fayiah Kettor, an employee of the Liberian Agricultural Company got missing from the Company’s Medical Facility in Wee Statutory District, Grand Bassa County while undergoing treatment and his corpse was later discovered on the plantation.
Rep. Willie noted that an investigation was conducted by the Ministry of Justice to establish the cause of death through which the Ministry promised to report to the family through the county leadership on its findings and it has been over four months since without information been released to the family and the general public on the results of the investigation.
He added that in the wake of the Fayiah Kettor’s situation in Wee Statutory District, another death occurred on the Compound of ArcelorMittal in Buchanan City, at which time body of Robert Toe was discovered in the Compound of ArcelorMittal and what led to the death is yet to be established as well.
He pleaded with his colleagues that the Minister of Justice, Hon. Frank Musa Dean appeared to state reasons for the delay in releasing the report of the investigation made in the mysterious death of Fayiah Kettor on the Plantation of Liberian Agricultural Company, and subsequent failure to conduct an autopsy on the corpse of Robert Toe who was discovered dead in the Compound of ArcelorMittal in Buchanan City.
Plenary voted that the communication be sent to the committee on security to report in two weeks.
A portion of the Communication read “Honorable Speaker and Distinguished Colleagues, as you have been privy of these situations, I, therefore, crave the indulgence of the Plenary of the House of Representatives to request the appearance before this August Body the Minister of Justice, Hon. Frank Musa Dean to state reasons for the delay in releasing the report of the investigation made in the mysterious death of Fayiah Kettor on the Plantation of Liberian Agricultural Company, and the failure of the Ministry of Justice to conduct an autopsy on the corpse of Robert Toe who was discovered dead in the Compound of ArcelorMittal in Buchanan City.” 1
