IPNews-Monrovia,Liberia-25 August 2018: Seven students who recently performed with excellence in the West African Senior School Certificate Exam (WASSCE) administered have received an international scholarship award from the government of Liberia.
The seven (7) students who received the international award are Nelly E. Wende student of the SOS High School, Peter T. Kollie St. Martin’s High School, Emmanuel M. Morris of the J.J. Roberts United Methodist School, Lewis D. Rogers of the J. J Roberts United Methodist School, Munah J. Wlemus, of the ELWA Academy, Samuel G. Sumo, Firestone Senior High School, and Ahmaedou R. Jalloh, student of the William Booth High School.
According to the Deputy Education Minister for Administration, Latin Da Thians, stated that these students are given five years to get enable them acquire Bachelor degrees in various professional fields of study.
The students were recognized during an investiture program held at the Samuel K. Doe sports complex in Paynesville City outside Monrovia.
“We do this so that you can educate yourself and do the same for others, in five years so that you can be able to give back to your country caution Thians.”
