IPNews-Monrovia-Liberia-Friday 30 November 2018: The ministry of public work (MPW) and the Japanese international corporation Agency (JICA) have completed a four-day tour across the country. According to the communication Director of the Ministry Mr. Prince, Nagbe told newsmen that the tour was part of the bilateral agreement with delegates from the Japanese international corporation agency and the Ministry of Public works in the identification of major project site.
As part of a round table discussion, the dedicates committed themselves to the construction of a two modern bridges which includes; junk river bridge located on the RIA highway and DUA River bridge in the Firestone concession area in Monserrado County.
Mr. Nagbe also added that the Japanese delegates came to Liberia through the instrumentality of one employee from the technical department at the ministry of public work while attending his training in Japan at which time He discussed with the Management of (JICA) about the prevailing situation with regards to damage bridges and the bad road condition and a need for international intervention that prompted the visitation of a fact-finding delegate as to asserting the reality which was confirmed.
Meanwhile, The Minister of Public Work Mubotu Nyenpan lauded the timely intervention of the Japanese Company to assist in the reconstruction of post-war Liberia especially bridges and farm to market roads. Minister Nyenpan said such initiative is welcoming and indeed commendable in promoting the government pro-poor agenda
