IPNews-Monrovia-Liberia-Wednesday 28 November 2018: The Temple of Justice was a scene of attraction on yesterday Tuesday, November 27, when the Government through the Ministry of Justice and the Liberia National Police charged and dragged to court authorities of the National Housing Authority for onward prosecution.
The Ministry of Justice is calling for the prosecution of NHA Director General Duannah Siryon, Tugbeh C. Tugbeh, Isaac Roberts and Augustine Weah over action of alleged theft of property, economic sabotage, bribery, criminal conspiracy and criminal solicitation in the tone of US$92,000.00.
The alleged act of defendants being unlawful wicked, criminal and intentional is in violation of sections 10.4, 10.3, 12.5, 15.51 and 15.80 of the new penal law of Liberia, there and them crimes herein the defendants did do and commit.
The document revealed that during the period of September 2018, at the royal grand hotel, the within named defendants being there and then connived and conspired, and with the intent to solicit and extort money from Mr. Emmanuel Tapsoba, Former Coordinator for a Burkina Faso’s Company called GELPAZ-IMMO, which has come into the country to construct over five thousands housing unit along the Roberts international airport high way.
The defendants purposely induced and influence the official of thee said company receiving the total sum of US$92,000.00, under the pretext that the said amount serves as a requirement for doing business in the republic of Liberia.
“Having received the said amount, defendants out of deception criminally converted the same to their personal use and benefit with the intent to deprive the government of the republic of Liberia of its revenue and deceive potential foreign business s partners wanting to do business in the Liberia.”
