River Gee Legislative Caucus Appoints New Chairman

IPNews-Monrovia, Liberia- 15 March 2018: River Gee County legislative caucus has appointed a new chairman following a resolution of unanimous vote. The new Chairman of the County Legislative caucus is Hon Francis Saidy Dopoh II of district # 3 River Gee County.

Speaking on behalf of the team was the outgoing chairman Sen. Matthew N. Jaye explained that the caucus remains dedicated to the county goal which according to him seeks an alternative government that addresses the social, political, and economic conditions of all citizens.

He made the remark on Tuesday, March13, 2018 in a press briefing held at his capitol building office with legislative reporters in Monrovia.

Sen. Jaye at the same time extended heartfelt appreciation goes to president Weah for the level of collaboration and recognition granted to River Gee legislative caucus for what he termed as the formation of the CDC-led Government

For his part the newly appointed Chairman said he brings to the chairmanship a strong commitment to complete all unfinished projects and ensuring that all necessary fiscal measure regarding River Gee social development funds are robustly followed in consultation with the citizens.

He used the occasion to congratulate the past leadership of the Caucus for the outstanding work they’ve done to keep the organization functioning and urged the newly inducted officials to work in unity for the betterment of the county.

Those appointed in the leadership are, Hon. Francis Saidy Dopoh, II Chairman, Hon. Francis Sewon Young, Sr. of district 2 co-chairman, Hon. Alex Poure of district 1 Secretary, and Sen. Matthew N. Jaye Advisor/chaplain all of River Gee County.

Meanwhile Chairman Dopoh is calling on the citizens, inhabitants, and associates of the county to lend their supports to the caucus, and government at large for the sole development of the county.
