Binda Foundation Supports Local Media Ahead of National County Meet

The Binda Foundation has donated LD$40,000 to two media outlets in Gbarpolu and Bomi counties to support live broadcast coverage of the National County Meet soccer matches involving Gbarpolu County. The beneficiary media houses are Voice of Gbarpolu and Radio Puma in Bomi county.

Presenting the donation, Prince Vongbor, County Director of the Binda Foundation, emphasized the importance of sports in uniting people. He expressed the foundation’s desire to ensure that the people of Gbarpolu feel connected to every game played by their team.

The funds are intended to support the media houses in securing resources, including petroleum and food, for their reporters stationed in Monrovia.

This donation is part of the Binda Foundation’s ongoing contributions to media development in the county. Recently, the foundation donated radio equipment worth over LD$100,000 to Voice of Gbarpolu.

The presentation was received by Mr. Meloshe Roberts, Station Manager of Puma FM, and Mr. Henry Gboluma, Station Manager of Voice of Gbarpolu.

Both Radio Puma and Voice of Gbarpolu are member stations of the Western Journalists Association of Liberia.
