Liberia: Nurse to Nurse 4-Day Training Kicks Off Today

Hundreds of Liberian nurses from across the country are expected to get training from an international organization. The training is going to be held in partnership with the Ministry of Health, will be under the banner: “Nurse To Nurse”.

Nurse To Nurse is Liberian-based with international link. It focuses on building the capacity of Liberian nurses in line with best practices, globally.

Speaking during the arrival of the Nurse To Nurse   delegates from the United States of America at the Ministry of Health (MOH), headquarters in Congotown, Paynesville City, Madam J. Kolu Mator, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nurse To Nurse, noted that the purpose of their visit is to strengthen the workings of nurses in Liberia.

According to her, the four-day intensive training will provide each participant nurse working equipment in the discharge of their duties as modern nurses.

Madam Mator stated that the training will also focus on hand-to-toe assessment, CPR, Verta science, among others will be highlighted during the four-day nursing training.

At the end of the Nurse To Nurse training, nurses who attend the training are expected to be certificated.

Stakeholders in the health sector of Liberia are also expected to grace the training.

Nurse To Nurse members include J. Kolu Mator, CEO, Joseph F. Mator, Jozelle L. Maror, Jusu Williams, Famatta Williams, Martha Dargbeh, Rachel M.  Bloe, Yvonne Roberts- Martin, Ophelia Vah, Lovo D. Koliego, Princess Darway, Esther Neah, Irene Roberts- Gulle, Amelia Gaylor- Attia, Brenda Johnson, and Kau Dolopei- Alpha. Majority of the Nurse To Nurse delegates are females.
