In Speaker Election: Yekeh Kolubah Vow Support For Fonati Koffa

— As he frowns On Boakai’s Early Posture Amidst 72hrs Ultimatum Climax In LRD$ 10Million Justification

IPNEWS: Again, the controversial Montserrado County District No. 10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah has fired another bomb vying to support the opposition ticket for next week’s Speakership election.

Representative Kolubah stated that there were sufficient evidences to show that President-elect Joseph N. Boakai dash-out thousands of dollars to loyalist of Representative Richard Koon for votes ahead of next week’s election of a Speaker for the House of Representative.

Kolubah frown on the exchange of cash as a return to the ugly past of the Weah’s administration which was condemned by all Liberians, including international partners.

He stated that such monies could have gone to give micro-loans to suffering Liberians through the banking system rather than giving huge sums to another group of hungry and wicked Liberians at the detriment of the ordinary people.

The District No. 10 Representative said he has joined the camp of Deputy Speaker Fonati Koffa and they all are now camping on the platform on ‘Rescue team’ yet the incoming government cannot be doing something different which the Liberian people was against the Weah Administration for, stressing it’s time that President-elect Boakai know that he needed to be very transparency to the Liberian people who voted him overwhelmingly.

The Montserrado County Representative stated that he’s going to vote for an opposition lawmaker for the Speakership in person of Cllr. J. Fonita Koffa come Monday, January 15,2024.

“Under the 54th Legislature there was massive corruption which the Unity Party and other opposition political party spoke against, now to be dashing out huge monies to lawmakers to vote Richard Koon, is a total disservice and I will not stand for this!” Rep. Yekeh Kolubah stated.

Kolubah alleged that the failure of the Weah Administration was carried by Rep. Richard Koon and most of the same group of lawmakers, including Representative Thomas Fallah who both work on the same Committee of at least five hundred Thousand United States Dollars.

On the heels of the expiration of his 72hrs ultimatum to President-elect Joseph Boakai for his justification of LRD$10Million dollars recently given gas explosion victims in Totota, Bong, has now elevated his recent call by insisting the President-Elect Joseph N. Boakai, take the sufferings of the Liberian people as matter above all else than the interest of ‘imported bureaucrats’.

Representative Koulubah stated that he foresees the corruption in Liberia under the Joseph Boakai’s government three times the Weah’s government and has vowed to robust than ever before.

The controversial lawmaker frown on partisans of the Unity Party calling him names because of his stands and vow ever to be more robust in his criticism then the was done in the Weah’s administration.

The district number 10, Representatives Yakeh Kolubah stated that Lofa is not Liberia for president Elect Joseph Numah Boakai should begin circling himself with too many tribal people and focus on taking the Liberian people out of poverty.

Speaking at a News conference at his Capitol building office in Monrovia, the District No. 10, Lawmaker said it is very important for President Elect Joseph Numah Boakai to tell the Liberian people the source of the 10 million Liberians Dollar that he donated recently to the Gas victims.

He said the action of President Elect Joseph Numah Boakai to donate such amount of money to victims of the gas explosion without telling the Liberian people the source of the money smells and must be investigated.

President-elect Joe Boakai

“I sent a communication to President Elect Boakai to tell him that the Liberian people who give the power are concerns about his recent LRD 10 Million dollars but my Staff was told the President-elect does not want to see my staff neither receive the communication. “

“I know the reason the President-elect Boakai and I will not sit under the same roof for the next six years because President-elect Joseph Boakai is now listening to all those imported bureaucrats who were nowhere around when wanted to be president, and is now disrespecting me.” Representatives Kolubah narrated.

This week, the controversial Representative Yekeh Kolubah turned-on President-elect Joseph Boakai beginning with a 72hours ultimatum to explain the source of L$10 million recently donated to victims of the gas explosion in Totota, Bong County on December 26,2023.

The Montserrado County Electoral District #10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah, addressing a major news conference Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his Old Road residence, questioned the President-elect Boakai’s source of such huge cash after the former Vice President told Liberians that he lives on loan, and could not self-financed his campaign.

Kolubah predicted a more corrupt Unity Party regime than the government of President George Manneh Weah.

The controversial Montserrado County District No. 10 Representative accused the President-elect Joseph Boakai of violating Sections 1.3.2 and 1.3 Part Six of the National Code of Conduct, when he provided such funds to victims of the exploded gas tanker in Bong County.

Last week, President-elect Joseph Boakai dashed out ten million United States dollars as humanitarian donation to victims of the tanker explosion, stressing that the source of the fund is potentially linked to political favoritism and corruption.

Representative Yekeh Kolubah called on the President-elect to demonstrate his stand on corruption by providing a comprehensive and satisfactory explanation for the source of the money and clarify any potential violation of the National Code of Conduct as a way of preserving public trust and confidence in his leadership ahead of his inauguration slated for January 22,2024.

Prior to the runoff election, controversial Representative told the authoritative Independent Probe Newspaper of his endorsement of the defeated CDC of outgoing President George Weah but later catapulted stating that his statement was sarcastic.
