As his rehab center graduates another cycle of its program, Senator Abraham Darius Dillon has emphasized that the Senate under the regime of the Unity Party will reject any presidential nominee tested positive for illicit drugs.
Our legislative reporter who covered the event in the Cooper Farm Community outside Monrovia, the Center for Rehabilitation and Reintegration, a vision of the lawmaker graduated 14 young people who had completed the prescribed program and qualified for reintegration into the society.
Giving the overview of the occasion, the Montserrado County Senator stressed that the fight against illicit drugs across the country must begin with all key public officials of all three branches of the Liberian government.
According to the Liberty Party stalwart who is also referred to in the Rescue Mission of Ambassador Boakai as ‘Rescue Light’, any public official, including a member of the legislature, judiciary or executive, does not deserve to work in the national.
The Montserrado County Senator added that such drastic steps, if taken, those importing, trafficking and smuggling drugs will know how important Liberia has taken drug matters and as such, they will prefer another country.
