NEC Upholds Emmanuel Dahn’s Victory In District No. 7 Election

IPNEWS: The Board of Commissioners of the National Elections Commission (NEC) confirms and affirms initial ruling of its Magistrate in a contested results from Montserrado District No. 7, filed by Solomon George.

NEC Board of Commissioners Monday, December 19, states that the complaint filed by incumbent Representative Solomon George is ‘baseless’, and has declared Emmanuel Dahn WINNER of District 7, Montserrado County.

The dispute emerged from a challenge of 5,078 votes margin without sufficient evidence.

Solomon George of the CDC and Montserrado County Electoral District #7 was given the exit door, by independent candidate Emmanuel Dahn in the October 10 Presidential and Legislative election announced by NEC.

Prior to this victory by Emmanuel Dahn, took a bold stance against the incumbent lawmaker, Solomon George of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change.

In one of his community engagements at the graduation ceremony, held at the Emmanuel Dahn District Training Center on BYC field in PHP Community in Monrovia, did not hesitate to critique Representative George’s track record.

Dahn lashed at the incumbent of doing nothing to empowering residents of District#7 during his entire 12 years in the House-stressing his tremendous sacrifices to uplift and empower district No. 7.

“I have sacrificed for these people, and I have served them extensively. I was even supposed to go to America with my family, but I used my resources for the people,” Dahn highlights in his unwavering dedication to the residents of District#7.

Dahn firmly expressed commitment to keep investing his time and resources in community service, cited instances when his critics accused him of not adequately addressing the district’s needs.

He labels those making such criticisms as agents of the devil disseminating falsehoods, simultaneously vowing to directly confront them by taking the fight to their doorsteps.

On the educational front, promised to offer accessible education at affordable fees, which is why they have students enrolled on scholarships.

On the other hand, Dahn recounts various sacrifices he has made for the community, such as running a drug store to address the district’s needs.
