Ahead of Presidential and General Elections: Jeety Urges Muslims to Pray for Peace

IPNEWS – The CEO of Jeety Conglomerate, including Jeety Rubbers LLC and Jeety Trading Corporation (JTC), Dr. Upjit Singh Sachdeva, on Sunday, April 16, identified with Muslims in Upper Margibi County.

Dr. Sachdeva, who is more famously known in Liberia as “Jeety”, and his team distributed polythene bags containing raw food items, including rice, oil, beans, can, dates, etc. In addition to the food items, he also presented L$10,000 to each mosque.

In each of these polythene bags that Jeety presented to the mosque, contains rice, bean, can food, oil, date, etc

At each of the seven mosques that he stopped at in Weala, Cinta Township and Kakata City, Jeety, a devotee of the Sikh Faith, urged Muslims to not only pray for themselves, and their families but should include Liberia; especially as the West African nation heads to Presidential and General Elections in October 2023.

Head/Imam of each of the mosques he visited, offered prayers to Allah for him and the success of his business empire in Liberia. He had stopped at Corneh Farm Mosque in Kpakolokoyah Town just right over the border in Bong County from Margibi; Weala Central Mosque in Weala, Margibi County; Weala Old Mosque in Weala; Borlorla Mosque, off the main highway in Weala; and Cinta Konola Mosque in Cinta Township, Margibi County. Other places he stopped were Vai Town Mosque in Vai Town, Kakaka City; and Lango Town Mosque in Lango Town, Kakata City, Margibi County.

Jeety’s first stop was at the Corneh Farm Mosque, where he received praises from the Corneh Family, whom he has had very good relationship with for many years.

“As you all know, this is the Holy Month of Ramadan and we are in the last 10 days of the month. We from Jeety Rubber have come here again like we did last year, to identify ourselves with all the Muslims and mosques in the Cinta Township to show that we are a part with them. We want to support the prayers that they are offering for themselves and for the nation: for peace, progress and prosperity,” Jeety stated.

Responding, Mr. Adam Bill Corneh, a member of the Corneh Family and a former lawmaker of Bong County, said Jeety’s gesture isn’t strange to him as some of them consider Jeety, who is an Indian business tycoon in Liberia, as being an extended member of the Corneh Family.

In addition to the food items, Jeety also presented L$10,000 to the Vai Town Mosque in Vai Town, Kakata City

“We want to ask Allah that He will continually put His blessings upon you. You enemies will fall under your feet,” former Representative Bill Corneh said.

He also told the audience that the long-time relationship that Jeety built with their father, the late Alhaji Vamuyan Corneh, is still being felt even though their father has been dead for many years now.

Bill further beseeched Allah to bless Mr. Jeety because the Indian businessman had took it upon himself to go up to Bong County to share with them Muslims, who are honoring the month of Ramadan, which is one of the cardinal pillars of Islam.
