“They Will Get What They Are Looking For” – Rep. Yekeh Kolubah Warns

IPNEWS-Monrovia: Montserrado County District #10 Representative in the Legislature, Yekeh Kolubah has said a group of individuals has hatched a plan to set his residence ablaze.

Speaking Wednesday evening on the night time radio and television show, ‘Class,’ Representative Kolubah did not call names, but said he knows the people behind the conspiracy. “I know those involved. When they attack my residence, I will move into their respective homes to retaliate,” Kolubah said.

He recalled that some individuals few years ago violently disrupted a children party he had organized in his District and will this time around, not sit supinely if anyone dares attack his residence or any of his political leaders.

“If they attack me or any of my political leaders, I will attack them too,” Kolubah also indicated without mentioning any name.

Kolubah, an ardent critic of President George Weah, alleged that some individuals from the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, CDC, continue to harass and threaten him for being critical of the President.  “The thing they looking for, they will get it,” he warned.

Noted for his ‘no nonsense stance’ against the leadership of the Legislature, particularly House Speaker, Bhofal Chambers, who he has always accused of biases, the Montserrado District #10 Lawmaker was at many instances thrown out of the Chambers and on one occasion suspended on allegation of acts unrepresentative of a lawmaker.

His family, including his wife and children, are currently resident in the Republic of Ghana apparently due to what he says are continued threats against his life. He had said he would form and train his own people to protect him and his political leaders during the pending October 10, 2023, legislative and presidential elections.

Meanwhile, some Liberians in the United States have reportedly bought some security materials, including electric batons, pepper spray, a set of walkie-talkies and others and will soon ship them to Liberia.

The host of the online ‘Class’ night time radio and television talk show, Stephen Johnson made the disclosure during the Wednesday night edition of the show. The ‘Class’ consists of panelists, including former Presidential Press Secretary, Jerolinmek Piah, Liberian musical icon, Miatta Fahnbulleh and sometimes Liberty Party stalwart Daniel Sando, among others.
