Margibi District #3 Residents Praise Rep. Wreh for Development Projects

IPNEWS-Monrovia: Residents of Electoral District #3 Margibi County have praised the District lawmaker for the many developmental works being undertaken since her ascendancy as Representative.

Speaking to team of Legislative Reporters who visited the District on facts finding visit, one of the elders of the District James Jumu who spoke to this media outlet explained the works of the lawmaker to the team journalists saying, Representative Ellen Attoh Wreh through the China Union Social Development Fund was able to construct a modern Town Hall in the Telecom community, the construction of a bridge linking three communities including, Peace Island Community , the Telecom Community and the Matadi community.

He said Rep. Wreh has also provided scholarships to the young people of the District, while women empowerment is high on her agenda, at the same time she is sponsoring lots of people to learn driving skills at a Driving School in the District to get the needy skills in other to prepare them for the job markets.

Visiting other projects sites in the District, Elder Jumu, who guided the team of journalists to the various projects said the Representative has over the years helped to ensure that residents in Madena 1 & 2 have access the safe drinking water and Public Latrine.

Mr. Jumu noted the development in their District could not have come without the help of the central government and this is why they believe that Rep. Wreh needs to be given a second term in other for her to continue her developmental initiatives from where she has stopped.

Also visiting the market that was constructed by the Margibi District #3 lawmaker, the General Superintendent of the Green Hill market said before building the marketers were selling under the sun and rains but since she built the new market it has brought great relief to them.

Madam Tennie Sumo averred Rep. Wreh is a great blessing to them as at the time they were selling under the sun and rains, no one had time to come to their needs but Rep. Wreh was the only one who visited them and the will forever be happy for her assistance.

The Green Hill Market superintendent noted one of the things that the lawmaker did for them is to provide USD$1,200 in other for them to purchase a land in other to relocate the current market because where they are is been leased.

According to her, the Representative has never forgotten about them since she took over the District and it is their prayer and hope that she will be re-elected.

In November of last year, over 60 women obtained certificates in soap making, with support from Rep. Ellen Attoh Wreh, Representative of District #3 in Margibi County.

And over 62 women in Borlorla Road, the initiative is part of her commitment to empowering women and making them self-reliant.

The residents said the Representative also run a clinic that caters to the wellbeing of the people of the District especially those residents of the Firestone belt who are not working with the company in other to help them seek medical attention.

They added that for the part of the District that is in the Firestone belt, the company do not allow development in their area but only human capacity and she has helped them gain the needy knowledge in soap making in other for them to be able to help their families.
