Deputy Defense Minister Vincent Lauds India for Continuous Military Support to Liberia

–Outlines Challenges in Maritime, Peacekeeping

The Deputy Minister of Defense for Operations, Prince K. Vincent has lauded the government of India, for its continuous support to the people of Liberia, and is at the same time seeking the Indian government support to the Liberian military.

Minister Vincent, who currently heads a three-man Ministry of National Defense delegation, including the Assistant Minister of National Defense for Public Affairs Sam K. Collins and the Special Assistant to the Minister of National Defense William K. Toe.

Addressing the Defense Ministers’ Conclave, currently taking place in the Indian State of Bangaluru, Minister Vincent said support in the areas of peacekeeping and maritime security are pivotal to the Liberian military, and as such, the country was seeking more international support to achieve its goals.

The Conclave is being held under the theme: “Shared Prosperity Through Enhanced Engagement in Defence”

Several Defense Ministers from around the world are attending this year’s conclave.

A three-member Liberian delegation from the Ministry of National Defense arrived in the Indian State of Bengaluru to participate in this year’s Aero-Indian Exhibition 2023.

The delegation departed Monrovia on Sunday and arrived on Monday morning at the Bengaluru International Airport.

While in India, the Liberian delegation will hold a high-level discussion with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of India Shri Rajanath Singh, and also participate in other discussions on the margins of the Aero-Indian Exhibition.

The event, with the theme ‘The runway to a billion opportunities’, will radiate the rise of a strong and self-reliant ‘New India’ by displaying India’s growth in aerospace and defence capabilities.
