Sen. Jeremiah Koung Becomes MDR New Political Leader

IPNEWS: Senator Jeremiah Kpan Koung of Nimba County has been elected as the new standard bearer of Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (๐Œ๐ƒ๐‘), replacing Senator Prince Y. Johnson.

Senator Koung was elected on white ballot as political leader during the Party’s 2nd National Convention held at the Jackie’s Guest House in Gompa City, Nimba on Thursday, 22 December.

Mr. Koung takes over from his Nimba political godfather and founder, Sen. Prince Yormie Johnson.

Making a brief statement following his election as the new standard bearer of ๐Œ๐ƒ๐‘, the Nimba County’s operational Senator [Jeremiah Koung] vowed to run for president in the 2023 national elections.

“I’ve tested the water three times and I understand the [political] environment …and I’m going for it [presidency]. We can make it!
