IPNEWS-Monrovia: On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in the early morning hours, an underage child believed to be four (4) years of old was raped in Benda Community along Bola Road in Kakata, Margibi County.
Shortly after the horrible incident, the parents of the four-year-old child immediately took him to the Police Station in Kakata City and subsequently C. H. Rennie Hospital.
According to Medical Reports from the Rennie Hospital on Tuesday Morning, the victim (child) was severely bleeding from his anus, which caused his parents to weep at the Hospital.
At the same time, the Police preliminary investigation of the sodomized child in the county (Margibi County), showed that Eric Welnemah is the suspect and he believed to be about 14 (fourteen) years, the Statement said.
Meanwhile, some eyes witnesses and Community dwellers told our Reporter that they saw Eric Welnemah entering the Poro Bush (Traditional Society Shrine) which prevents him (Eric Welnemah) from being arrested by the Police, said the community dwellers.
Meanwhile, the police has assured the alleged perpetrator will be arrested, investigated and forwarded to court; and at the same time called on the family of the victim to exercise a little more patience assuring them that nobody will commit such an alleged heinous crime and go with impunity.
