-Applauds China on 73rd National Day Observance
IPNEWS: President George Manneh Weah has conveyed profound felicitations and best wishes to the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the occasion commemorating the 62nd Independence Anniversary on October 1, 2022, of that country.
In the message to his Nigerian counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Muhamadu Buhari, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Nigerian leader, and through him, to the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as they commemorate this historic milestone.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Weah further indicated that the cordial and bilateral relations between the two West African States will be further strengthened in the spirit of African solidarity.
The Liberian President also looks forward to a continued collaboration with his Nigerian counterpart as the two countries work together in furtherance of the principles of the African Union, the United Nations, and the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS for the promotion of international peace and security. .
He then prayed that the Almighty God would continue to endow President Buhari with abundant wisdom and strength as he leads his compatriots to greater prosperity.
Meanwhile, President Weah has, extended warmest congratulations to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of China on the occasion of marking the 73rd National Day celebration on October 1, 2022, of that country.

According to the Foreign Ministry release, President Weah expressed confidence that the two countries will work together to further strengthen the pre-existing cordial bilateral relations between the two countries as PRC commemorates this joyous occasion.
The Liberian leader acknowledges with extraordinary gratitude the enhanced partnership, particularly Liberia’s developmental transformation, which we are assured will be further solidified.
President Weah then prayed for President Jinping continuous well-being, wishing that the Almighty God will grant him with abundant wisdom, and perseverance as he leads that great nation to higher heights; as they collaborate to ensure the maintenance of peace, stability and enhance global development.
