Students Stone at Kalita School for Massive Failure in WASSCE Exams

IPNEWS-Monrovia: Twelfth Graders who recently sat the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) were seen on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, engaged with stone-throwing and breaking chairs belonging to the Kalita Industrial High School Pipe Line road, Paynesville City.

The students who spoke to our reporter in Paynesville City and preferred anonymity stated they paid an undisclosed amount to the Kalita Industrial High School administration to ensure that they pass the exams but to their utmost dismay, the results were alarming to the point where no student passed more than one core subject administered by WAEC-Liberia.

The Kalita Industrial High School, is located on the Pipeline Road in Paynesville, Montserrado County electoral District #3.

The very angry students told IPNEWS that they will not relent until the School pay back their money. “This is not the first time 12th graders have failed miserably in the WASSEC exams”, according to an eyewitness who described himself as a neighbor to the school, Mr. Daniel Z. Flomo, also claimed that this was the third time the school was experiencing mass failure in succession, noting that it is pathetic and grave for the school, the students and parents.

Meanwhile, all efforts to get the Kalita Industrial High School authority to speak to the studentsโ€™ claims proved unsuccessful as the Principal and other administrators repeatedly denied their identity. Writes Seykajipo Amegashie; 0777-594750; amegashie2022@gmail.com
