Manco donates US$25,000 Cash to Support Zogos rehabilitation

The General Manager of Manco Manufacturing Company, Mr. Assad Fadel has given a cash of US$25,000 cash to buttress government’s effort towards helping At-Risk -Youths or Zogos in the country. The donation was announced Thursday at the official program marking the launch of the program by the president of Liberia, Dr. George Weah.

Following the National Fund Drive of the At-Risk-Youth rehabilitation and Empowerment program held at the Ministerial Complex, Mr. Fadel praised the government of Liberia for the engagement to rehabilitate- the At-Risk-Youth from various ghettos in Montserrado.

Mr. Fadel said the youth was the future leaders of this country and it was important to prepare them take up leadership in the future.

Speaking at the one day conference held at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf multi-purpose Complex on Thursday June 30, 2022, Mr. Fadel said that the company is prepared to employ those At-Risk-Youth that will graduate from the rehabilitation program.

He noted, β€œWe have been planning and working along with the Ministry of Youth and Sport to help the young people of Liberia.”

He noted, β€œAs my father used to tell me that it is Liberia – a country that is free in accepting other people from different countries.”

According to him, today the name Zogos had been changed to a better name that people can recognize you as a better person in society.

In addition, he disclosed that their doors are open to help the Ministry of Youth and Sport in helping to develop the minds of the At-Risk-Youth in Liberia. Following the end of Liberia’s civil war over a decade ago, there are several thousand β€œZogos’ many of them are on the streets and ghettos taking in drugs on a daily basis.

He mentioned that, they are prepared to sponsor those At-Risk-Youth that will graduate from the rehabilitation program to any universities in Liberia.

He noted, β€œI consider myself as citizen by choice of Liberia”.

Meanwhile, he testified that the company had benefited a lot from the government of Liberia and they are grateful to the government of Liberia.

However, the has planned to extend his working hands with minister Zeogar D. Wilson.
