Nigerian Trade Delegation Ends Visit To Liberia: Signs MOU With Jewel Starfish Foundation

IPNEWS: A Nigerian Trade Delegation headed by the President and Founder of the African Childrenโ€™s Talent Discovery Foundation, Dr. Noah Dallaji, has ended a two-day working visit to Liberia.

The delegation, comprising entrepreneurs, University Lecturers, Politicians, and famous musical artists, was in the country at the official invitation of Liberiaโ€™s Vice President, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor.

Dr. Dallaji explained that his trip to Liberia would explore investment opportunities in several sectors, including Energy, Education, Youth Development and Empowerment, and Real Estate development.

Liberiaโ€™s Vice President, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, convened a meeting between members of the delegation and Liberians involved in the trade and commerce sector to interact with the panel on possible investment opportunities.

The initiative by the Vice President is adherence to the recent pronouncement by his Excellency, President George M. Weah, that Liberia is open for Business.

The heads of the National Housing Authority, the National Investment Commission, and the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, among others, were in attendance at the meeting.

They expressed willingness to work with the Nigerian trade delegation adding that Liberia remains open for investment.

The delegation met and interacted with the All-girls Student Council Government of the JJ. Roberts High School.While at the School, the delegation and the Vice President inspected the basketball court project being fully funded by Dr. Dallaji.

Dr. Dallaji, in brief remarks, encouraged the students to remain focused on their dreams if they are to become successful in what they aspire for in life.

In continuation of his activities to Liberia, Dr. Dallaji signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Jewel Starfish Foundation on behalf of his foundation, which aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two institutions for youth development and Empowerment.

The founder of the Jewel Starfish Foundation and Vice President of Liberia, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, who signed for her foundation, termed the MOU as impressive for girls education in Liberia.

he delegation and the Vice President then visited the Liberia Basketball Association, where they all watched live basketball games to support youth development in sports.

Earlier, the Vice President accompanied Dr. Dallaji and delegation to the chambers of the Liberian Senate where the delegation officially made known their plans to invest in the different sectors of trade and commerce of Liberia.

Meanwhile, Liberiaโ€™s Culture Ambassador Julie Endee has gowned and appreciated the head of the delegation Dr. Dallaji on his interest to consider Liberia for investment purpose.

Dancing to live cultural performances, Madam Endee presented traditional gowns to Dr. Dallaji and members of his delegation as a mark of respect from the traditional people of Liberia.
