LIYAD Honors GTMS for Support to the Liberian society

IPNEWS Monrovia: Managing Director of the Global Tracking Maritime Service (GTMS) has appreciated Liberia Youth for Advocacy and Development (LIYAD) for recognizing GTMS as Institution of the Year for rendering numerous assistance to the Liberian society.

Speaking at a Certification Program over the weekend, GTMS General Manager Ms. Aminata Bangura expressed gratitude to the youth group for its farsightedness and always cross-checking the institutions developmental records in the country.

Ms. Bangura disclosed that as an institution they have received many certificates from different organizations, but noted the Friday’s certification was first of its kind from a youth group in Liberia. She then disclosed that the institution has over 100 staffs and ninety five percent are Liberians. The General Manager stressed that GTMS is in Liberia to ensure that young Liberians benefit skill training as well. According to her, the work of GTMs is fully concerned with young people who are recent University graduates.

She concluded saying though the Institution is faced with lot of challenges, but noted they are opened all times to work with young university graduates, most especially Liberian youths are also incorporated for internship.

On his part, the Compliance and Program Manager of GTMS, Mr. Johnson L. Armah lauded LAYID for the recognition Mr. Armah further said “the certification of GTMS makes the company appreciate how people outside of its employ are keenly following their activities. We are doing a lot but this day will always remind us of increasing our effect.”

Presenting the certificate to GTMS, the Chairman of LIYAD Anthony D. Cooper emphasized the work of the organization is to check and counter-check institutions that work with young people of Liberia and that the GTMS is one of the numerous institutions that have over 95% of youth in its employ.

The Chairman disclosed “after a long research on the work GTMS we thought it wise to honor you because of your numerous help to the development of our Country”.
