IPNEWS: As part of his normal routines to serve humanity, an Indian former consul General in Liberia, Upjit Singh Sachdeva who is popularly known as Jeety recently visited tge Monrovia Central Prison and fed over 1,300 inmates that are kept at Monrovia Center prison by the government for various crimes.
The former Indian consul general in Liberia and also Chief Executive of the Jeety Trading corporation on Sunday June 20, 2021 distributed ten thousands United States dollars worth of food items that’s includes hot Cook meals and other valuables to prisoners.
During the presentation of the items, the Deputy superintendent for administration at the Monrovia Central Prison, Joel Justin G Juah, said that his Initiative has no outside support and whatever he does come from the Jeety Trading corporation with his team .
Meanwhile, the Indian former consul General used the medium to call on all philanthropists to help emulate his example by extending humanitarian support to those who have come in conflict with the rule of law and now become prisoners and going through transformation for the Common good of the society.
Speaking on behalf of the prison’s Commander, Col. Varney G. Lake, Deputy superintendent for administration at the Monrovia Central Prison, Joel Justin G. Juah applauds Jetty for his kind gesture he continues to provide to the inmates at the Monrovia Central Prison and Liberia at large.
Juah however appeals to Jeety to help extend his kind gestures to the Monrovia Central Prison and other prisoners in the country by providing buckets, looking utensils and others sanitation Items to be used by the Inmates and visitors during this time of the Covid-19 outbreak in Liberia.
In response, the former Indians Consul General said that he Will consider the request made by the Deputy superintendent for administration.
He said that by the help of God Almighty, he Will try his utmost best to provide some covid 19 sanitary materials for the inmates.
