Rep. Koffa Awards G’ Kru Students Scholarship

IPNews-Grand Kru County: Grand Kru County Electoral District # 2 Representative J. Fonati Koffa has awarded 10 scholarships to disadvantaged youths from Buah residing in Monrovia to attend the Monrovia Vocational Training Center (MVTC). The total cost of the scholarship is put at L$250,000.

The Grand Kru County lawmaker awarded the full scholarships following an appeal from the Chris Menneh’s Buah Youth Development Association.

The Monrovia based Buah Youth leadership in their appeal, said Hon. Koffa is one of the dependable and reliable Grand Kru lawmakers.

Meanwhile, Grand Kru County District #2 Representative proposed a development conference with the people of Jloh Statutory District in Betu on Saturday, November 21, 2020.

The meeting is aimed among other things to afford the opportunity to the people of Jloh to participate in their selections of development initiatives which are expected to begin early 2021.

The Grand Kru County lawmaker announcement followed an engagement with some Jloh Youths on Friday.

Rep. Koffa also told the Jloh youths that he designated his office, headed by Hilary Koffa to spearhead a peace Dialogue Meeting to address a long standing land dispute between Neiroh and King William’s town in Grand Kru and Sinoe Counties respectively.

The meeting will also improve the resilience between the bordering communities, as well as advance social cohesion and rebuild trust.
