Liberia Makes Head-waves Again at Regional Level of Lion’s Club Int’l

IPNews-Monrovia: Liberia for the second time in two years triumph to the Executive Board of the regional Lions club, this time taking away four prominent seats.

The Liberian delegation swept the four Prominent seat at the joint ended District 403A2 of Lions Club International, annual Convention, held on May 29-30, 2020 via zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The District comprises of Ivory Coast, Togo, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

At the Convention, it elected and installed its new corps of Officers for lionistic year 2020/2021.

Those elected & installed were:
1. Lassou H. DJIBOM- Governor
2. Elizabeth ATTOBRA – 1st Vice Governor
3. Claude C. AGUIAR- 2nd Vice Governor.

Upon been sworn into office, the new Governor immediately appointed his cabinet. Those appointed from from Region 34 (Liberia & Sierra Leone) were:
1.Dickson N. Doe- Region Chairperson- Region 34
2. Theresa T. Davies-Commissioner of Environment (she retained her post)
3. Evelyn C.Weeks- Zone Chairperson, Zone 341
4.Hh Zayzay- Zone Chairperson, Zone 342.

Prior to this victory, Liberia swept a number of seats at the District Cabinet level.

Those appointed to the District cabinet included: D. Sheba Brown-Chairperson, Region 34; Dickson N. Doe-Commissioner for Hunger; Theresa M. Davies-Commissioner for Environment; Mildred Dean-Zone Chairperson, Zone 341 And Caroline M. Caranda- Zone Chairperson, Zone 342.

Meanwhile the Head of the Liberian, Lion Dickson N. Doe, has lauded all Clubs in Liberia for the Commitments to upholding the principals of Lionism, especially the continued advancement of Liberia at continental level.

He extended special thanks to Lion D. Sheba Brown, for ably representing Liberia at regional and continental level with humidity.

Lion Doe also congratulated the incoming Governor and his new corps of Officers.

The new administration takes over the operation of the District on July 1, 2020.
