IPNews-Monrovia: A Liberian Businessman,Momo T. Cyrus and outgoing President, Monrovia Ducor Lions Club, has underscored the service of all mankind to humanity as a testimonial to their Service of God the Creator.
Cyrus stated that too many times people think about themselves rather catering to lifting others from poverty, including giving back to the service of humanity.
Momo Cyrus who also the the Proprietor Security Expert Guard Agency-SEGAL, encouraged members and incoming officials of the Monrovia Ducor Lions club that ‘ giving back to society is a intrinsic portion of mankind that is not done by personal inducement or self elevation’.
Momo Cyrus congregated several Past presidents and members of Docor Lions Club and Lionism in Liberia, including Lion Collins W. Teah, Lurleen King Falla, Lion B. Rachele Y. Duoba, for their tremendous sacrifices and dedication made for the advancement of the Monrovia Docor Lions Club and Lionism in Liberia.
Cyrus further extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to members of the Club for their support given over the years of service as President of the Monrovia Docor Lions Club.
As a mark of commitment to the Monrovia Docor Lions, Cyrus presented a land Deed of two acres purchased in Lofa county, for the construction of a home for underprivileged persons to be managed by the Monrovia Docor Lions Club.
Alongside those lines, Lion Momo Cyrus presented a check of 1000 United States dollars as initial contribution to the construction of the home in Lofa county.
The outgoing president lauded the selfless collaboration of the Lots county local government support in securing the property, particularly the mayor of vonjama city, madam Harris.
Speaking further, Lion Momo Cyrus informed members of the Monrovia Docor Lions Club of continuing work in Lofa county for the establishment of a local Lions club under the support of the Monrovia Docor Lions Club.
“In fulfilment of this milestone in the establishment of a local club in Lofa county, we have established a WhatsApp group chart to greatly coordinate the smooth establishment of the local Lion club in Vonjama, Lofa County.
“Serving humanity comes as the best any men can give to the service of his God and life.” Momo Cyrus stated.
For his part the guest speaker, N. Olswah Tweh, congratulated the outgoing president Momo T. Cyrus and called on all incoming members of Monrovia Ducor Lions Club, to be reminded of the charitable services including the commitment in bringing change and transformation.
Tweh cautioned the newly inducted leadership not take the COVID-19 pandemic as and excuse in the execution of the noble task set ahead of them.
Speaking on the theme: “Service to Humanity”, Mr. Tweh stated that the motto of the Lion club, ‘We Serve’, brings to bear the greater obligation of service that any person can do for their community.
He stated that the notable charity services of the Lions Club, including activities of community services over century, has had a lasting force admiration for all good men.
With applause, Tweh told members of he club that the has done remarkable well without trying gain noticed, yet, the works of Lionism is notice by all.
He encouraged them that the real essence of their service is allowing one service to have an effect on others without anticipating a reward
The young Liberian business man advised members to be reminded that the hobble manner of service through humidity is the best way to go.
“Humidity is not stupidity, and you must keep providing service in such manner”. Tweh stated.
Narrating further, Mr. Tweh stated that service to Humanity must become a hobbit that outs smiles on the faces of others.
“We all have a opportunity to make a deference but perhaps we do not know the way to go about. Yet, service to humanity is a everyday life that we must keep.” Tweh told members with cheering applause.
He employed all single ordinary person that could change the world , their community and society, through service to humanity in anticipating reward and praises.
