Sen. Dillion Risk Explusion from House of Senate; As Confusion Grows witin Liberty Party over recast Budget Passage

IPNews-Monrovia: Confusion is growing within the Liberty Party, over the connivance of one of its Senator Johnathan Kaipay to signed a resolution authorizing the recast COVID-19 budget.

In returned, the Grand Bassa County 2014 Elected Senator, Jonathan Kaipay has replied with political- Nuclear strike with a proclamation that “The Liberty Party lacks leadership”.

On displayed today at a Press conference, Senator Abraham Darius Dillion, unveiled lashes against the Bassa Lawmaker for what he called “Institutional Indiscipline.”

Sen. Dillion’ in a usual strong voice disclosed to several media outlets that on Senator Jonathan Kiapay affixed his signature to the 2020 Recast Budget without persuading it due to inducement.

The document according to Senator Dillion, was never signed by three Liberity Party stewards, inciuding Liberty Political Leader, Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence, Dillion and the Party Chairman Steve Zako.

The action according to Sen. Darius Dillion, he will champion the immediate disciplinary action against the Bassa Lawmaker at the Party level.

However on the contrary, Sen. Kaipay has fired back accusing the party of being raine on the basis of “tiny cliques” set up to tear down others and kill the institution from the root.

Sen. Kiapay stated that “over time the spoiled leadership of the Liberty Party has undermined the good dreams of the late founder and former political leader Cllr. Charles W. Brumskine-adding that while they are committed to killing the Party, yet they pretend to love by breeding disunity, and conflict, marginalization.

He accused Senator Dillion of being a ‘self-proclaimed god’, while Nyonblee Kangar-Lawrence of the Liberty Party as the goddess.

Sen. Jonathan Lambort Kaipay stated that he took oath to serve the Liberian people’s interest and that will be done with independent mind and sound judgement”, in an apperrent reaction at Senator Darius Dillion.

According to Sen. Kaipay, his decisions will not be based upon building a platform to pave way for someone’s reelection against the interest of the Liberian people.

He stressed that: “we must identify the line between time when we can make decision to favor the Party, and time when we can make decisions to favor the Liberian people”.

The LP and Bassa Senator referenced the Nwabudike’ saga;

“When it came to time to confirm Ndubisie Nwabudike to head the National Elections commission Sen. Kaipay stood for the Liberian people, even though independently, but his independent stance reflected the party’s desire since it was believed that the confirmation of a Nigerian national to the NEC was first a slap in the face of the Liberian people and secondly a threat to the opposition in future elections”.

This ongoing debate could impact the Party during the 2020 Election and also give a pause to the journey of Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine to the “Great Beyond” regarding his anticipation of the Institution’ role in the body politics of Liberia.

Commenting on the Recast Budget, Sen. Jonathan L. Kaipay said he will not allow the Liberian people who have been made poor and vulnerable as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and lackdown measures to be stagnated only at the pleasure of one or two individuals who believes that their individual opinions should constitute the official position of the Liberty Party which he (Kaipay) holds dear; the Lawmaker blasted.

Pointing direct fingers, he mentioned that Senators Dillon and Kangar-Lawrence needs to understand and stop falling in continues error when they think their individual arguments on the Senate floor automatically becomes the decision of the Liberty Party.

“Let Sen. Abraham Darious Dillon, whom I have great respect for, apologize to his colleague. Sen. Jonathan Kaipay for being emotional and irresponsible with his words against the Bassa people.”

“Senator Dillon must also refrain from drawing false attention to himself and do the work of the Liberian people with sincerity, truth, and seriousness”. Sen. Kaipay stated.

Sounding a warning to Dillon, Kaipay emphasized “Sen. Dillon, try to be adequately informed about issues before you start to run with it and before you start to denigrate others who have built their characters”.

Inspite of the bomb explored at the Press Conference, Sen. Kaipay offered what he beli best solution and way forward is to employ sound leadership at the party level and do away with forming cliques to destroy the party; adding it is only through sound leadership that people work together. Hate and Marginalization against others will carry the Liberty Party nowhere.

Meanwhile, it is yet unclear what the position of Senator Lawrence is on the ensuing matter, as efforts to reach her did not materializdd until press time.
