“Street Talk”, Disrespect Ruins Liberia governance system

IPNews-Monrovia: As both President George Manneh Weah and former Vice President of Liberia Amb. Joseph  N. Boakia throws jab at each other, the chairman of the former running Unity Party legislative caucus and Montserrado county district #17 representative Harson Kiazulu,  has termed recent comments by president George Weah against former vice president Joseph Boakia as ‘street talk’.

It may be recalled, President Weah in live ELBC interview, the Liberian leader reacted to question by Journalist John Kollie, referencing Amb. Joseph N. Boakai called to the president to dialogue with planners of the scheduled December 30 Weah step down protest, and subsequent refusal by the president to do same as ‘being wicked’.

President Weah responded harshly to an alleged comment from the political leader of UP and formal vice President Joseph Boakai, as ‘ungrateful’ and asked him to ‘behave’.

President Weah reaction to Amb. Boakia alleged comments sent shape waves across the city with some terming the president comments as ‘unfortunate’.

Few hours after President Weah age 53 nasty responds to Amb. Boakia age 72, the former Vice president responded that the president ‘did not have good upbringing and would not burn down his house because a mosquitoes was in the house, as even if he did burned down the house, the mosquitoes will soon leave and there will be no house to stay in’.

The comments also raises surprised at the quite former vice president with some terming his comments an unwarranted engagement.

Now with the rounds of disrespect, the chairman of the former Unity Party legislative caucus, has joined the nasty attacks.

Representative Kiazulu in an exclusive interview with IPNews correspondent at the Legislature, quotes Representative Kiazulu as saying that comments made by president Weah that former vice president spent 12 years of his life as vice president and without having a thing to show; couple with when he got sick and almost died and did have any support, it was only he George Weah that came to his aid, does not reflects the office of the president of the Republic of Liberia.

Lawmaker Kiazulu added that the cars in questioned came as a results of a communication signed by former president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, through a presidential order that all formal heads of the three branches appropriated by the national legislature under the Ministry of State for Presidential affairs are entitled to.

“The cars president Weah is boosting off is not his personal money or donation to former vice president Boakai and I will ask the president to desist for these kinds of street talk”. Rep. Kaizulu stated.

Representative Kiezulu further reacted that president George Weah comments that ‘that former vice president was an instigator of the June 7 mass protest’, is unwarranted and an elementary expression.

Rep. Kiazulu: “This is another ‘zogo’ talk and the president should not be making such statement because he is not a king or heading Monarchy form of government here.”

There has been no immediate respond from the Executive Mansion over Representative Kiazulu’s comments.

IPNews initial assessment of former vice president communication to President George Weah, has found no trace of such comments made by Amb. Boakia against President Weah and wonders why Journalist John Kollie would misrepresent the statement of the former vice president.
