IPNews-Monrovia: The political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander Cummings has asserted that the printing of the new bank-notes will offer ‘no solution’ to the current fragile economic environment experienced by the country.
According to the ANC political leader, if new Liberian Bank notes were to be printed the money if printed, will escalate the strangulated the already challenged economic situation unlike repairing it.
Appearing on a local talk-show, Cummings said the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) Government is responsible for the payment of salaries and benefits to civil servants and therefore the printing of new banknotes offers no solution to the current economy challengers that the country face with.
According to Cummings, the failure of the CDC government to pay Civil Servants their salaries is the symptoms of bigger challenger as it relates to managing the country economy.
Cummings however, noted that it is unacceptable for the ordinary citizens to work for over months in the CDC government and are yet to receive the just benefits and salaries from the government.
He noted that in order for the Administration of President George Weah to fix the country’s broken economy, monies collected must be protected and used for economic growth.
Commenting on the much publicize December 31 protest, the ANC strong man noted that he will only support such quest if the organizers will focus on the prevailing situation and forgo their step down campaign quest.
