‘Reject Printing of 35bn New LRD Banknotes’, Rep. Samuel Enders calls on Colleagues at House of Representative

IPNews-Monrovia: As mounting calls for the rejection of the printing of new Liberian Banknotes continues, Montserrado County District 6 Representative Samuel Enders has joined other Lawmakers in calling for an upright rejection request made by President George Manneh Weah to print 35 billion Liberian dollars new banknotes.

Addressing a news conference Thursday, Representative Enders maintained that the printing request by the president is not timely in the wake the questionable expenditure of funds by the government.

Representative Enders insisted that some government officials are moving across the country spending money loosely while the president is insisting that there was no money in the country.

He has also rejected the government harmonization program describing it as an attempt to undermine the president’s quest to improve the country.

The Montserrado County lawmaker has vowed not to sign the proposed budget if few institutions and individuals continue to get all the money with a huge cut in the wages of the ordinary people.

He is therefore urging    president to make public the evidence of the 25 cut to his monthly salaries he announced last year.

Representative Enders has also pledged his support for the creation of World Crimes court in Liberia.
