Your Excellency Mr. President,

I bring you greetings once more from my household. I am grateful again to write you this open letter Mr. President on the forward march of our country.

I am making use of these opportunities as a citizen to engage you on a regular basic as my way of participating to the developmental drive of our country.

Like you said Mr. President, we should all come around the table and bring our collective ideas on how to move our country forward and For me, this is a national call to duty as a citizen. In my last open communication to you which was published in the local media (Hot Pepper News Paper on many occasions) and also in few other papers, I made few recommendations to you, Mr. President and some of those recommendations were considered by you. I asked you to call for national dialogue, meet with the June 7 protest organizers, to address the nation on the state of the economy on regular basic and as a good leader, you have started to implement some of those recommendations.

Mr. President, I still believe that you can do more to unite this country and change the narrative by taking the lead with honesty and commitment.

Mr. President the bi-elections for Montserrado County is just few days from now and we are into another political season in which your self is involved as the lead campaigner for your party. While I respect your view and role as the political leader of your party CDC, i still think that your greater responsibility here is the president of Liberia and leader for all Liberians despite of our diverse political affiliations .
Your political involvement with the bye elections at this critical time in our country’s history could just undermine your call for national dialogue. The attacks from you directly to the opposition candidates are unhealthy and its undermines the call for national unity.
Mr. President, If we must unite as a people , our national leaders should set the examples and do away with hypocrisies.

Mr. President, peace and national unity come together . our country is all we have. As we look up to you for leadership direction, we as a people also have a role to play. We must also show you high level of respect and sanity. The insults agaisnt our leaders by some citizens should stop because leadership is from God and leaders are direct representatives of God on earth.

Mr. President, there are many issues still outstanding that you need to address the nation on. The expectations of the people are high. Those issues include and not limited to: the teachers you said were coming from Nigeria to help with our broken and messy education system, the coastal corridor project, the Bali Island , the mineral swap deal, and the tuition situation at the state run university. These are just few issues that we need update on Mr. President.

Mr. President, as you are away from the country on an official duty please consider my communication to you in good Faith. This is how I intend to keep engaging your government.

Have a good day Mr. President and let God bless the ‘fatherland’ and save the Peace.

Respectfully Yours
Journalist

    Brother Yates,

You forgot to mention the PROBLEMS of the Exchange Rate being too high (L$197.00 –L$200.00 for US$1.00) and the Cargo Tracking Number PAYMENT Scheme.

In my Note To Our President next week, I will mention those issues above myself.

Thank you for trail blazing the route to dialogue and peaceful policy changes.

Together, let us SAVE THE STATE!
