A young lady identified as Aminata Sangary a Liberian who fled the war in her country in 2003 was discovered dead along the Kakata Highway in Margibi County.
The incident occurred on June 6, 2019 upon her return to Liberia after several years in exile.
Aminata, a daughter of an ex rebel general was murdered by men believed to be former fighters of pro-government militia of former jail Liberian President Charles Taylor.
A family source who asked not to be name for fear of reprisal, informed this news channel that Aminata and her family are being targeted due to the role of their farther during the bloody Liberian civil war.
The father of Aminata who fought alongside rebel several groups is said to be target by some ex combatants for the way he led them during the war.
The source explained that due to her father’s participation in the war most of his alleged victims are seeking revenge against members of his family including his children.
The Liberia National Police (LNP) is still in search of the killers of Aminata.
Our source also hinted that a brother of Aminata, Amara Sangary is also wanted dead. The report indicates that the former fighters who made have killed his sister are in serious hunt for him.
