Pres. Weah To Ax Close Loyalist, As Int’l Pressure Mounts For Missing 16 Billion & Transparency In Governance

IPNews-Monrovia-Liberia-Sunday-25 November 2018: Heighten speculations continued throughout the weekend up to Sunday, over a well anticipated axing of key loyalist by President George M. Weah.

According to a close source in the inner cycle of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change-CDC, the planned axing of those key loyalist comes days following a leaked recording in which the boss of the National Housing Authority Duanah Siryon, is alleged to have sought kickback from a housing firm.

The source also hinted the independent probe that Liberia’s international are hesitant in responding to persistent calls by the Liberian leader for support in revitalizing the Liberian economy, including other infrastructural development which was already under stressed following the deadly Ebola virus decease which cost the lost of nearly four thousand persons and nearly breakdown of the economy.

Our source further stated that some influential partners are continuing their demand that President Weah ax at least four who are considered within the governing CDC as ‘untouchable’, to ensure the success of the young government or stand to experience international isolation.

“These officials have resolved without the interest of the majority to plunder the wealth of this country with impunity while the majority are drowning in abject poverty. President George Weah will have to be decisive in taking decision for the greater good of the Liberian people and stand to face international isolation.” The source said.

Speaking further, the source narrated further that the international partners were key on the axing or transfer of these officials who continued to preside over influential government positions at the detriment of the majority of the Liberian people.

The source furthermore named anti-media advocate Samuel Tweah, Finance, Development and Planning Minister; Nathaniel McGill, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs; Monrovia City Major Jefferson Koijee; and Inspector General of the Liberia National Police Col. Patrick Sudu.

“I can tell you from an informed position that our international partners are not comfortable with these guys performance which is unfair to President George Weah who has brought them all on board to assist him in redirecting the development agenda of the government as outlined in the ‘Pro Poor Agenda for Development and Prosperity’.

Detail from transcript comes in our subsequent publication.

  1. Mere speculation!!!! There is no Goerge Wea without these guys, especially Samuel Tweah. And this poorly written article is another telltale sign this story is a hoax, a figment of the imagination of its authors.
