Labour Minister Moses Y. Kollie vows to End all Labour conflict & Bad Labour practice In Liberia

IPNews-Monrovia-Liberia-20 November 2018: In order to protect the workforce under President Weah led government, Labour minister Moses Y. Kollie has organized a three day labour conference in Monrovia.

The conference which takes place at the Monrovia City Hall under the theme ‘A decent workforce under one labour law’, kicks off 19 of November to the 21  2018.

Speaking during the exclusive interview with Journalists Hon.Kollie stated during the opening session of the conference, that he hope to ensure stakeholder, employer, employee and government reason together in resolving all issues that affects the labour Sector  in accordance with the two labour laws that covers Civil servants and workers in  none government sectors.

The Labour Minister also said, in keeping with the new Labour law all necessary mechanism had been put into place to protect either side adding that employers have discover a new method of dealing with employees on a contractual basis in legal framework but clarified that the ability of the Labour Ministry to address wrongful dismissal of some firestone and Acela Mittal employees remain a key factor that is hardly determinant by the Liberian people.

He warned employees and employers to remain steadfast in the accomplishment of their duties relevant to the transformation of the society in keeping with positive Labour standards.
