IPNEWS: Martin K. N. Kollie, Exiled Liberian Activist says since the end of the
2023 General and Presidential Elections there have been well-intentioned, preplanned, and cunning attempts by leading opposition political parties, especially supporters of CDC political leader George Weah and ANC political leader Alexander Cummings, to smear his reputation.
According to a statement issued in Monrovia, Mr. Kollie alleged that the folks from the CDC and ANC have gone to every length with this slander spree, without any intention to stop with a goal to pull him down by all costs before 2029.
“They and their supporters generally believe I played a major role in preventing them from entering the Executive Mansion. This is my only crime. Do I apologize for my role in 2023? No, I do not and won’t either. I will do it again in 2029 and even more.”
“As they did in the past, they’ve paid some media outlets, including newspapers, radio stations, and social media bloggers, to run with another false narrative that I am being paid US$5,876 per month as a member of the Asset Recovery Taskforce. This claim is not just untrue but malicious and politically disingenuous. Though we are 15 members of the Asset Recovery Taskforce, why am I being singled out and viciously targeted?” Martin K. N. Kollie, Exiled Liberian Activist stated.
Touching claims of receiving monthly payment as a member of the special presidential taskforce to retrieve government assets, Martin K. N. Kollie called on the LACC, the GAC, and the IAA to conduct a full-scale investigation/audit of his transactions with the Asset Recovery Taskforce.
Kollie insisted that he has NOT received a dime, not even in cash or kind from the Asset Recovery Taskforce.
Martin K. N. Kollie: “ The record must be set straight. These are the same people who accused me of “building a set of apartments without having any income sources/streams”. When I provided hard pieces of evidence of my professional journey or work history, they jumped to another false claim that “Martin is using the CACC to extort/blackmail”.
“Again, I am challenging anyone to prove where, how, and when did I use the CACC to extort/blackmail. They cannot prove anything. This is an open challenge to anyone. Furthermore, I am open to a full-scale audit of any kind of ALL of my financial dealings. I will prove every cent that I have ever received from various sources, not just by mouth, but by documentation (e.g. bank transactions, pay slips, employment contracts, tax records, etc.). “
“Once again, their goal is not about whether the Asset Recovery is working or not. Their ultimate goal is to get me off the way ahead of 2029. They’ve invested so much into this futile pursuit. But they don’t have the capacity, wherewithal, courage, and energy to do so. The Asset Recovery Taskforce is doing its work, and I am not authorized to say anything about its operations. At the right time, the Chairman of the Asset Recovery Taskforce will address the public. I will continue to protect their right to LIE and slander my reputation.
