IPNEWS:<\/strong> The principal of the Lott Carey Baptist Mission School in Brewerville City, Rev. Emile D. E. Sam-Peal, has been accused of beating a student of the school fifty-five lashes for being late.<\/p>\n According to the father of the female student (name withheld), Inspector, Tony Grant, of the Liberia National Police, alleged that his daughter was beaten 55 lashes in consecutive days by Rev. Sam-Peal, even though she cried out for help from the pounding pains she encountered.<\/p>\n Inspector Grant told local Television Station (Hott TV Live) that as a law-abiding officer,\u00a0 he has decided to take the path of the law and not into his hands as others would do.<\/p>\n He expressed displeasure on the part of Rev. Sam-Peal and the Lott Carey Baptist school administration for their inability to show remorse after the incident.<\/p>\n Police Inspector Grant, stated that \u00a0in furtherance to ensuring justice is served for wrong, and the violation of the rights of his daughter he is filing a formal lawsuit against Rev. Emile D.E. Sam-Peal.<\/p>\n When quiz as to whether he sought other interventions into the matter, Inspector Grant answer in the affirmative but to no avail.<\/p>\n It may be recalled, in 2019, similar incident occurred at the Sotiamon Christian school in Sinkor, Monrovia, when the school’s Vice Principal, brutalized another student 99 lashes for misconduct on campus.<\/p>\n The incident sparked heavy public reaction with some calling for the arrest of the school’s principal and proprietor of the school Rev. Solomon Judeh Minutes after public outcry the pairs were arrested and charged by the Liberia National Police, for aggravated assault, abuse and misused of\u00a0entrusted authority.<\/p>\n Inspector Tony Grant, has vowed to reach a logical conclusion of the case as his daughter is continuously rolling in pains, and displeasure.<\/p>\n IPNEWS has obtained photograph of the victim with deep cuts and wounds on her lower backside.<\/p>\n The man at the center of brutality accusation, Rev. Sam-Peal, Principal of the Lott Carey Mission school acknowledged the incident but told IPNEWS that he reserves comments on the matter as the Ministry of Education has taken seize of the matter.<\/p>\n When contacted, the Public relations Director, Education Ministry, acknowledged the matter and stated that Deputy Education Minister, Felicia Doe-Somah, has launched formal investigation into the matter and will make findings clear within the matter of a week.<\/p>\n Late Monday, September 13, Inspector Tony Grant, \u00a0the victim\u2019s father, told HOTT FM that he has informed authorities of the Ministry of Education and is going all out to ensure his daughter rights are restored. Sam-Peal, has served as the Superintendent\/Principal of the Lott Carey Baptist Mission Schools, Brewerville, Liberia since 2008.<\/p>\n Prior to coming to the Lott Carey Baptist Mission School as Superintendent\/Principal, he served with the office of the Vice President of Liberia as Special Projects Director, where he coordinated, managed and implemented all specialized projects and programs to ensure delivery within approved policies and guidelines; assisted with administrative duties, speech writing and other functions deemed necessary by the Vice President and his Chief of office Staff.<\/p>\n From 1992 \u2013 2007, Rev. Sam-Peal served as the Executive Secretary (Chief Administrative Officer) of the Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention, responsible for coordinating all Baptist work in Liberia in the areas of evangelism, missions, Christian and secular education, strategic planning and development, \u00a0and the overall growth of the convention.<\/p>\n He is a Rotarian, member of the Rotary Club of Monrovia, Liberia, and a Paul Harris Fellow.<\/p>\n Over the past 30 years, he has functioned as an administrator, advocate, caregiver, pastor, mediator, social worker, enabler, care-provider, counselor, therapist, to name a few.<\/p>\n A few of the core values that help shape his life and person include integrity, patriotism, family, investment in our youth, love for children, care for the elderly, and lifelong thirst for learning and personal growth.<\/p>\n Rev.
