“I want my own of 40K before I can sign” Rep. Yekeh Kolubah Makes demands

IPNews-Monrovia: Montserrado county district #10 representative Yekeh Kolubah is requesting forty thousand United States Dollars to identify with his district as prerequisites to signing any resolution that will see the granting of President George Weah recent stimulus package submitted to the Legislature days following the imposition of a state of emergency.
It may be recalled, President George Weah on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, presented to the Legislature, documented reasons for the imposition of the State of Emergency in Liberia, which highlights 25 million economic stimulus package for Liberians.

According to the Liberian leader, his administration along with the World Food Program will work to implement said program while calling on that August body to urgently approve the proposal.

But speaking at a news conference today Thursday, April 16, district No. 10 lawmaker Kolubah said the decision for president Weah to request 40,000 United States dollars is only intended to empowered members of the ruling CDC as it was done in the case of the twenty five million United State dollars intended to mob up excess liquidity on the Liberian market.

The Montserrado county lawmaker has at the same time clarified that at no time did he received any money as founding to fight coronavirus amidst mountain speculations on social media that each lawmaker received nine thousand United states dollars to combat the killer disease in their respective districts.

    THIS MUST BE CLEAR THAT THE GOVERNMENT’S SHOULD NOT IN ANY FORM DISTRIBUTE ANY FUNDING TO A DISTRICT LAWMAKER WE HAVE COUNCIL MEMBERS WITHIN THE DISTRICT THROUGH THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS WHO WILL INTEND ORGANISED THE DISTRICT COMMUNITIES TO COMBAT COVID 19.WITH THE CITY MAYOR.
