NPA Reduces Workforce to 75% to Reduce COVID-19

IPNews-Monrovia: The National Port Authority has reduced its workforce to 75%, as stringent precautionary measures against further spread of the CONVID-19

The NPA stated that the move is in consonance with Presidential mandate aimed at containing further spread of the Corona virus.

The Management of the National Port Authority (NPA), stated that decision is a re-enforcement Stringent Precautionary and measures to safeguard the Gateway to the Country’s Economy.
The release note that NPA Managing Director Bill Twehway as part of a Mandatory routine hand-washing procedure on yesterday, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, declared ZERO tolerance of the Coronavirus at all Sea Port facilities across the Country.

“At least 75% of the workforce has already been granted “stay home pay leave” and asked to abide by all health protocols against the Virus whilst working from their respective homes.” The release noted.

Meanwhile, the Port Management has also constituted an Emergency Task force, tightened access control and re-enforced compulsory hand washing at every entry, office and exit points of the Ports.

“All Outstation Ports including: Ports of Greenville, Buchanan and Harper are in full compliance to the rigorous Preventive Measures that are necessary to further save lives and protect the ‘Gate Way to the Country’s Economy from the Corona virus. New updates on these and other measures will unfolds.” The release concludes.
