“Step Up Or Be Kicked Out” Pres. George Weah Threatens Under Performing

By Jackson Clay, Editor-in-Chief

IPNews-Monrovia: President George Weah has threatened with removal from his government those he considers as nonperforming government appointees.

Speaking yesterday, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Antonnette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in central Monrovia, when he made a brief statement at the Coalition of Democratic Change (CDC) retreat, President Weah said that he ‘would kicked out all those who do not mean well for his government’

“ There are many CDCians who have been given the opportunity to serve the Liberian people in this administration and have developed the attitude of entitlement and who are under performing, they are slack with their jobs and give the party a bad reputation. These people need to step up their game and be more diligent at their assignment or they will be replaced,” President Weah stressed.

President Weah stated that for him, as the President, he continues to do the work of the Liberian people for which he was overwhelmingly elected in 2017.

The Liberian leader asserted that it is now time for the CDC to transition from being not just the winning party but for the CDC to recognize and conduct herself as a ruling party.

“Fellow partisans as your standard bearer and political leader let me remind you that in order to justify the mandate of the people hopes and trust, it is now time that we transition from being the wining party but to also recognize and conduct ourselves as the ruling party,” President Weah noted.

President Weah indicated that the ruling CDC should now recalibrate and transform herself into a mature and United governance machine with a clear focus on transformation and repaid development of all sectors of the society.

The former football legend turned politician boasted of having the backing of the country’s international partners and as such the country and its people would soon start enjoying the fruits of their labor.

Meanwhile, President Weah congratulated and thanked all partisans, well-wishers and supporters of the CDC for turning out in their mass at the ATS for the party’s retreat and called on them to remain steadfast as part in steering the affairs of the country.
