Over five hundred Liberian journalists are expected to go to congress to elect new officers who will stir the affairs of the union for the next two years.
Reading the petition on the grounds of LBS in Paynesville, veteran newscaster Alfred Rogers told the gathering, the decision to endorse incumbent president Charles Coffee is based upon several achievements acquired by the PUL President.
The LBS employees named the establishment of the media council responsible to adjudicate unethical cases, the passage of the Kamara Abdullah Kamara Press Freedom Act, and the ongoing negotiation for the construction of the PUL Headquarters among other achievements.
Additionally, over 30 local journalists in Margibi County have also endorsed the re-election bid of Charles Coffey for another term in office.
