Speaking to IPNEWS, Jerome M. Kesselly, Country Director IICFIP Liberia, who just returned from the Global conference, held in Johannesburg south Africa, said a resolution adopted by participants agreed for its next meeting to be held in Liberia, due to the excellent record Liberia continued have over the past past one year.

West African Regional CONFERENCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED FORENSIC
INVESTIGATION PROFESSIONALS (IICFIP)
Objectives: To raise awareness of best practices in forensics investigation and new perspectives in this field.
Specifically, the course will focus on:
- To increase the level of knowledge of the target audience by developing the strengths of forensic science in specific areas such as criminal investigation, auditing, finance, building and public works, etc;
- To provide participants with a platform for exchange and debate, sharing of experiences and best practices to reduce risks and illegal acts;
- To install the Newly Certified members of the West Africa Region of IICFIP

The West African Regional Conference will take place in three main phases
- The opening plenary: punctuated by speeches and an inaugural lecture on the trajectory, major achievements and emerging perspectives of the IICFIP’s approach to financial crime investigation, and a group photo
- Parallel Sessions for thematic and participative discussions: The parallel sessions will focus on themes related to Money laundering, healthcare fraud investigations, bribery and corruption, evidence collection, and the integration of accounting knowledge and financial crimes investigations.
- Two thematic sessions will be organized each day. These are discussion sessions that will allow guests to share their experiences and best practices on the identified themes and to propose solutions.
- The closing session: It is articulated around a protocol phase, a ceremony of awarding of prizes and participation of participants in the target audience and the official installation of the Newly Certified members of the West African Region of IICFIP, followed by the reading of the final press release and a debriefing with the press.
